| 1. Important Dates June 12th evening: Welcoming Reception. June 13th – 15th 2014 – Conference Dates. June 14th evening: Saturday Night at the Crypt – as an option – buffet style dinner for all attendees, in the crypt of Sint-Andries church near the conference site. June 15th evening: Survivors’ Dinner – as an option – a fixed price dinner, including drinks, at the Huis de Colvenier restaurant near the Hotel National. |
| 2. Conference Themes There are two basic themes for the Conference:1, becoming familiar with the old machinery and;2, suggesting modern ways to drive and control the old machinery.For the first theme, conference participants will have hands-on experience building a 1:4 scale model, as well as seeing the machinery in place. For the second theme, we are seeking ideas on how to integrate 19th century wooden stage machinery with modern power systems and digital controls. |
